I only come to visit now. I think a lot of the generation it was advertised too have moved on. Staff to player separation has only grown over the years but i remain hopeful that someone will care enough to fix this rusty ol machine.

I'd say the forums actually died when they were closed for months with no news of being reopened. We lost pretty much the entire userbase and no real incentive to come back when everyone migrated to other social platforms or just lost interest. I don't think the handful of users that got moderated or banned carried the forums on their back.

Hm I don't agree. I think overzealous moderation is a big part of why the GCC died, as well as part of the reason why Graalians was so successful. And I don't think it's too much of a stretch to assume the same thing that happened to the GCC is happening here as well. In combination with the downtime, of course.

Poor decisions across the board basically.

I'm surprised Dusty didn't think the people running it was an issue to some members. I remember reading a post from Rufus in which he said that was the reason dusty stopped posting in the old forum (might have confused him with somebody else)


Disclaimer: My 5 posts per day was removed after it became official, so the big wigs are ok in my eyes. I don't want to give the impression that I'm bashing them.

For me it’s the fact that I’ve long moved on from the game because I don’t find it enjoyable anymore, and seeing people complain about things being nerfed (regardless of whether I particularly enjoyed using them) just makes the game feel like a boring money grab. There isn’t really that much to talk about unless it’s a complaint imo

Because some idiot decided to close the forum for 2 months. And I hope the person(s) who was responsible for that knows they're the reason why this game has lost a sense of community now.
