It would be a step forward and many 'wrong-doing' users don't know that certain actions on the server are inappropriate. There is an element of self awareness and common sense involved as the player should have a good understanding of what to do in certain circumstances, nevertheless a 'rule book' is needed. Even if it is just a thread created with a tinyurl link which is shared around the iPhone server it would give players an understanding for what is unacceptable. The complication here is that a staff member would have to publish the post as nobody else has the authority to, that's why it is vital an influential staff member reads through this thread.

That cuts to the dire point of why this feature must be implemented. However on another level on the topic of the harshness of the bans, the current staff are entrusted with the responsibility to handle the situation in the right fashion. Through this point it could imply that the much lusted 'rule book' may help clear up any of the staff members queries if they're unsure in a situation.

As every argument has it's positives and negatives, there is the worry that a rule book has something for the offender/victim to refer to while searching for some sort of argument to gain the right of freedom once more. There shouldn't be any problems if both staff and players keep to these 'set in stone' rules, but as anything rules can be twisted and misinterpreted which could lead to further drama and debate.

That should clear up the whole issue but there are underlying reasons which cause this thread not to have a simple resolution. Enough said about the topic.

Congrats Higbey. First thing on Graalians good enough to bring me back. 212 days away. Anyway...
I was banned for a month because I had the cracker installed. I did not mean to crack the iAPs, I had actually purchased an iTunes card earlier that day. I sent an email in, asking for an unban. Of course, no reply. So I was stuck banned for my birthday. Good job, that made Stefan lose a good $400.

I think that if a player 'attempts' to crack an iAP, it should be noted down, (s)he should be warned, or banned, for a small amount of time. Banning for 720 hours because of a mistake in place of the user is just silly, especially since I have made many purchases in the past and have my receipts to prove it.

I understand what you're saying, but you really shouldn't have iAP anyway. You may not have been trying to use it on iClassic, but it's your own fault for having it. I don't think faking purchases on any app is good.

he doesnt, he was banned that long and no one would help, and honestly its not really graals staffs discretion over what we have on our idevices as long as we dont use them on graal,

sometimes games are greedy, and in app purchasing is deserved for them making something cost alot,

really, i understand protecting the app, but attacking the players over having it? its not our fault, its legal to jailbreak, its not graals concern, and i feel like stefan was just being vindictive and overprotective.

now we need matt to see this so he can do this, we will not take no for a answer.

What a silly thing to say. If a game has expensive in-app purchases, don't buy them. Thievery is never deserved.

It is not legal to have iAP cracker... Yes, it is legal to have a jailbroken device, but there is a lot of illegal software you can download with one. I think they have every right to auto-ban someone with iAP cracker. Especially if they are "buying" a gralat pack with it downloaded.

well alot of people keep it downloaded and dont intend on using it on it, if a app developer is being a ass then i feel its okay to take it, if the in app purchases werent the dev being greedy you wouldnt need to use the in app cracker now would you? anyway, thats not the point, the point is you cant assume the player was trying to use it, you can make it not work and make the player be kicked out of the app or show a message saying it wont work, but you shouldnt give a months ban for it! thats insane!

anyway thats just one thing players commonly have trouble with, theres still the rest that staff need to implement.

by definitive view do you mean posting their opinion and locking the thread? because its not going to end there, im intent on getting this done, if its the one mark i leave on the server it will be this one, to protect players and do what the staff should have had the morals to do a long time ago!

I hope something good emerges from this thread not a bitter passion for your 'plea' to be developed. If the thread was to be locked then it would be locked for a reason. to state their strong view on how your conceptual idea may or may not plan out in the coming future.
