These are all bans that happen alot for people who dont know they aren't illegal. One simple big sign or somthing on

I'm not saying it's okay for rules to be hard to find. They should be somewhere obvious, and perhaps show on first login. However I also don't play enough to know if they ARE easy to find. Honestly there should be a button in the little window next to the news/house/guild buttons and everything.

Regardless, pleading ignorance is still not an excuse. Like I said, where does the line draw then? If this ban is lifted, then what's stopping anyone from claiming the ignorance for more serious things? What about more serious offenses such as hacking or harassment? Why couldn't they simply claim that they weren't aware there were rules against such acts(and no common sense does NOT work. Every other MMO has ban evasion as a rule, so you'd think that would be common knowledge... this is where this sort of perspective starts to collapse)? GP's should be consistent with their rulings like this to be fair, even if there are external problems like rules not being obvious. It's not the GP's fault that rules are tucked away in some dark corner of the server, they're simply there to enforce them.  

Graal lacks a rules guide. Players don't know if they're aloud or not aloud to play on their other account. The staff should just ban both for the same amount of time. A month is really harsh in my opinion. Getting around a ban by reducing your ban hours to zero using a router bug deserves a one month ban. Seriously though you should be unbanned. Not your fault you didn't know you couldn't play on your other account. To staff, if you want players to stop breaking rules then I don't know maybe make a rule sign? I don't see one located anywhere on Graal. Not everyone knows all the rules for Graal.

Honestly, I think there should be more emphasis on "It is your responsibility to read the rules."
People do not learn to do so because of the fact there is no emphasis besides punishment, which we all know is a negative reinforcement tactic that doesn't work out well. Rules atm are merely fine print until you've rubbed the rules the wrong way.

Most likely a bad or inapropriate shield that he may have continued to wear (Even after the shield was removed by an administrator). Sometimes bad shields get accepted into the game, and we have to wait for someone to delete the file from the server >__<

Ignorance is not an excuse. Just because you didn't read the rules doesn't excuse you from breaking them.

I know Ignorance of the law is no excuse but Graal is a game mainly designed for the younger generaion and mistakes are happening. It wasnt my concept to do something which could harm the server or the community, so why do i get treated like one?

Yes. All of the sudden everyone was able to use shields like bed.png, tileset_winter.png and such which were huge. Alot of people including me were conscious that we will get banned. The standard ban for this "bug abuse", which wasnt made by a player, is 4h which i accepted. My problem is that my non vip account got banned for 1month because i allegedly tried to evade my ban. I didint know about it nor got any warning.

Kain I 100% support you. I never EVER knew it was illegal to use vip/other accounts to get away from your ban. I figured if it was illegal then, instead of having real people go around and enforce it, they would just make it so VIP gets banned too or it doesnt let you access VIP.

That would mean we would have to make IP bans manditory. That would upset some families who have multiple Graal players in one house, I'm sure.

Who cares if they have another ipod or iphone or ipad? Theres no fix to that. (unless the linked emails with both accounts) Ban them on whatever account they did somthing wrong and forget it. Disable to ability to use VIP account and that will stop most people who are evading bans.

The VIP and non-VIP accounts have two seperate graal id numbers. When you purchase VIP, it's like buying a new account in a way. Only similarity is the fact that you are on the same internet connection; IP #. Therefore (currently) the only real way to track people's VIP/non is to check their IP. Would be a lot of work to find everyone's coresponding non-VIP account and ban that as well. (Like I said, this is only the current situation. Doesn't mean there won't be another system created at some time)

It's called ban evasion. Most online games will ban for ban evasion.

In Kain's defense, when you get banned, it says "Type: account". I can see how someone could misunderstand this thinking that, "Oh, as punishment for the thing I did wrong, I am not allowed to use that account to play". It's not entirely obvious that the purpose of the ban is to not let you play at all, especially if he uses an account so easy to access that it just requires you to press the "Do not use VIP Account" button.

It should be much more clear that using the non VIP account is not allowed for the duration of a ban.

As extra security couldnt they make it a device ban? Load ban onto download, next time you run app Script a skip vip login and send you to your ban? offline.

*evading it unconsciously. The 4h teached me a lesson to not wear the shield, the messed up 1 month teached me how blind the ban system is and how unnoticed those rules are.

Blind and unnoticed... Do you not understand the punishment? YOU are getting punished not your account. You are getting punished, take it and don't keep going along. I am baffled by your inability to understand this...
