I'm not going to attempt polishing a turd here, which is what such additions would be doing. The current housing system is horrible. I can make bandaid fixes and add furniture to circumvent the limitations of such a horrible system, but I don't want to do that. Say the system does get an overhaul it most desperately needs... suddenly players will have lots of furniture that is no longer useable or applicable in a new system that already facilitates such things be default.

I want to see a better housing system just as much as the players, but piling more and more "fixes" and hacks onto an already broken/crippled system is not going to help.

I would rather them put that work towards things on the server that actually affect gameplay than furniture that only a subsection of the community actually wastes money on.

I think he means the ones who can actually afford to buy furniture. I know a broke ass hat junkie like me cant afford furniture pieces very often.


On a more serious note: Maybe at least some people would be happier if they where able to make their GH openly accessible to all players? That would give people more room to work with and have more things they could show off.

I think what he means is, would you rather just stick to furniture that requires less effort, or consistently put in more effort to release better, perhaps interactive furniture?

And I'm saying is this a genuine question or an accusation? Because I don't think I've released a piece of furniture that is only decoration and not interactive.  

I just want more furniture selection. Hats < Furniture.  

Re-skins of previous furniture is ok, but the usability is limited.
I really liked the 'crypt fence' that came for halloween... but its only useful for a certain theme or feel, like graveyard or dungeon, which isn't impossible to replace with the already existing fences. Likewise, the 'easter couch' i grabbed last year is a nice conversation piece, but it really serves the same purpose as the old baggy red couch that has always been in the game (since forever).

I guess I lean towards quality over quantity in this department...

For instance, having the 'crypt guillotine' in my house draws questions almost daily as to where and how I got it (from new players, admittedly) and it is an interesting item that can serve not only to pique interest, but as a 'valve' in a maze-type setting.

The 'skeletal dog,' however, is just another pet and has yet to get mentioned while set out in my house, whether lumped in with all the other pets or individually placed in a horrific torture room.

The penguin, on the other hand, gets compliments and 'WOW I WANT THAT' from time to time... guess I was just lucky to pick the little fella up way back when doodle's pet shop was still around.

While scripting new furniture functions (or even coming up with acceptable furnitures) may be time consuming, us house builders always appreciate any furniture with interactive functions!  

Would it be pissible to script it on another world, test the bugs, then copy jt into the current system? And with loss of furni, id say to Allow the player to sell the furniture for a token, which allows them to choose a furniture of choice, or the furbiture itself. The gfx are already made, so would it be easy? Sorry this is complicated, but i know im bot the obly one who would give up furniture for this.  

I'd rather see more furniture updates rather than hat updates.

^this. There's more than enough hats all ready in game. Also I would like to see a Futon that you could make a couch or set it so it can be pulled out into a bed.

Had an item for a new furniture shop: Huntsmen's Furniture Den. It would have animal fur rug's, animal head wall mounts. and taxidermied animals to place around your house as decoration. Maybe a few other items made from animals. Nothing says manly like a few dead animals laying around your house

How about a hippie shop graal? With tye dye furniture, peace signs, maybe a few trippy furniture items . I bet that graphic admins would love to work on a project like this
