Even if UN allowed iClassic to steal their events, it would be difficult to port them to iOS in a way that:

a) isn't too laggy to run on a mobile device

b) works well on a small screen, and with touch controls

Valid point, but I think if the idea had support this could be implemented. Contrary to popular belief, management does listen to ideas, they just have to have support first. I think that if this idea had the support to be placed on the agenda, scripters could find a way to effectively implement most of the events found on UN. The only con would be a few players complaining because they don't want to work for their goals anyway, while pros include increased event participation, and possible purchasing of yet another type of point, EP. (If that wasn't picked up, I'm saying Classic can make money off of putting in an EP system, very important)

I see what you are trying to do but nobody on these forums cares if classic makes money. They are only forced to release over-expensive hat shops because stefan will fire them if they don't.

I don't care if classic makes money either, that's just an incentive for them to do it. What makes you think I care about Classic's income? My purpose for this is to add something else to do aside from spar/pk/tower (the only 3 things that act as life support for this server). The fact that Classic can make money from it is a reason they have to implement this.  

I've spent a lot of time brainstorming with people like NaS on UN on how you might script an event system that would satisfy a server with a player count comparable to iClassic.

The fact that you bolded and underlined money like this in your last post makes me think you cared about how this would make money.

I don't need to entice you with this idea. If you look down upon it in the first place then you simply don't participate. The money is exactly for what you stated, a reason to implement this system. I seriously do not think you understand any of this. I couldn't care less whether or not 1 or 2 players wouldn't play these events or participate. The fact is, there would undoubtedly be a good deal of participation in this, and that opens up a win win situation. The Classic players win because there's more for them to do, and the Classic management wins because with an EP system they can make more $$$. I don't make money off of this, I don't care about money. This is to add a fun new update for Classic.

This would be a great system that would work on Classic I believe. It just needs to be coded in/tested and I see this working with a lot of different events.

You cant solve the lag problem by just adding more warpers. Six highly concentrated areas isnt much better than one extremely concentrated area. And if 5/6 of everyone is being unstuck'd...

They'd be unstuck'd to different areas.

Ok. For those of you that have played on the UN server, you know the events there are pretty sweet. Better than iClassic's in the opinion of many.

Instead of this idea of copying UN's events I would rather see Classic come up with different ways to make events interesting/practical for the large player count. I would actually be highly disappointed if they copied UN.

Unfortunately, this probably wont' happen. It would be easier to just load levels off of UN. I'd love either or even both of these to happen, but the more realistic thing I see happening (at least over the alternative) is using popular events from UN.

Although, this is just my opinion, what's the point of bringing them to iClassic if you're just stealing content? Plus it's not even realistic, what's the need for adding more events to iClassic? None. But there is a need for new ideas to cope with the amount of players in existing events.

Stop getting defensive when people criticize your ideas. It's either you post idea threads knowing you will receive comments from parties agreeing and disagreeing, or you do not post idea threads. It makes you look less intellectual as you get defensive because I come here pointing out you are wrong on a few points. I didn't even disagree with your idea but I commented on the flaws and you act like i'm attacking you lol

Wow! The hostile attitude you hold against someone who originally said your idea sounded good is quite intriguing. I was simply telling you that nobody will see your idea here and that money is not an incentive for anyone here and so acting as if it is going to persuade us is a bit ridiculous.

You fail to realize stefan would need to approve of this idea before anyone would act on it in the slightest and that developers have no interest or time to pursue something in over their heads without the dictation of stefan. Posting it here and getting defensive when I criticize some of your emphasis points is truly a terrible way of expressing yourself on public forums!

I wish you luck on your future ideas- that you have no idea on how to represent or implement!
