I don't think its being picky, I think youre just a little nervous about it. I wouldn't say 'lower your standards' but do have some leeway with this, if you're looking for someone who shares ALL your interests as well as being attractive you'll be stuck flicking through profiles rather than actually meeting people. If you find someone you think seems interesting just send them a message, won't hurt!

I'm not necessarily looking for someone that shares the exact same opinions as me. It's just that, after wading through hundreds of profiles, I couldn't find anyone I was even slightly attracted to. She was the only one I was even somewhat attracted to, and that was before I read about her.  

Keep in mind sharing all the same interests is not the key to a good relationship. In my opinion its much better to find an open minded person that has very different interests than you, who you can try new things with. To me at least, that is much more exciting than doing what you normally do, except with another person.

Yeah, I completely understand what you mean. I'm not looking for someone the exact same as me, just someone that can accept the nerdy way I live. I don't want to have to act like someone I'm not just to maintain a relationship.

But interests aren't what's stopping me from finding someone. For some reason I just don't feel attracted at all to most of the people I see on the site. I don't know if I'm just picky or what...

I will probably try online dating eventually. Kentucky is just tooo weird for someone like me.

Plus it seems like everyone I am attracted to is famous in someway and there is no possible way for me to have a conversation with them.  

Perhaps you should think about dating guys?
