I really like this idea. I can't tell you how many times someone has PM'd me, and me having no idea who they are (because of course they long since changed their name). I meet tons of people on Graal. I generally recognize people by their name, look, or profile. But so many people just constantly change these things. Another problem this would solve: Currently the only way to search for a player is by name. If said player has changed their name, or is using a name with symbols, or has logged out of their account and had their name changed to "Unknown", it's virtually impossible to find them. I had this issue with a friend of mine who's main was banned for 6 months. I wanted to give him a gift or two during Xmas but had no way of locating that account. So yes, I think this is a great idea. Another possible idea that could work is for every player to have an "account name" that cannot be changed (this would in no way be the player's name, it would just be a designated name given to their account that would show up in their profile and could be used to search for, and always recognize, said player). |
