A visual novel type thing could be done pretty easily imo. Just take the script from the graaloween witch quest and modify it so that there is not one answer but multiple correct answers that lead to different outcomes, maybe 3 or 4 outcomes would be a start. Ex. DateNPC: "Hi #n are you doing anything after work?"; PlayerOptions: yes, no, blah.. blah...;
if (choice == "yes") {follow path1}; if (choice == "no") {follow path2};...etc. NOTE: this is not actual script just my lazy semi-pseudo script.

Just in case rufus didn't get my pm's here are my 3 ideas for valentines day...
1)An event/quest where your choices & actions affect the outcome on what you get.(Like in most dating simulations your choices & actions change the outcome of the ending)
2)A quest that includes an anonymous love letter and your trying to find your secret admirer.(Whole point of a Dating Simulation is finding the right person)
3)Something similar to Christmas where players can send each other chocolates,roses,plushes,etc... W/ a love letter attached to it.(Like any other valentines day)

How about some sort of recolored version of Romeo and Juliet, were you have to preform certain task. (Carrying letters back and forth or what ever). Romeo and Juliet could have witty knock off names.

Maybe like Christmas where they have gift stalls, you can give your friends roses and chocolate candies. The white roses and chocolate boxes are for friends. The red roses and chocolate boxes are for your love interests...*wink wink*. The pink roses and chocolate boxes means you're a secret admirer. The difference between love interest and secret admirer is: all of the roses and chocolates will come with a readable message (like a Christmas tag) except that when you select secret admirer, your name is not displayed on the message of the rose or candy.

What do roses do? Well nothing really, people will just buy them just to buy them for their friends and whatnot. Collect a bunch I suppose. Or you could use them for your house? They'll show up as flower patches only more detailed.

One of the ideas I had for the valentines event. Just more explained.
In your valentines day presents some items that could be possible in it are:
Chocolates(food)
Roses(Furniture/Item)
Plushies(Furniture)
Valentines themed hats maybe as well...

About the Gani?
If so it's easy really like regular food can be eaten the graalian would be just holding a box of chocolates and repetitively eat it (Yes an infinite amount of chocolate)
