exactly, that's why they always try to tell us in school to not bully, and both the bullies and the victim are always offered help. I, myself, am an independent person, which is probably either of those two's worst nightmare

Once, I had a bully seminar at school, and I had my foot on a bleacher, and some kid called me "gay" as an insult. People that like doing that need to be punished. More then detention, or anything like that.

I'm not sure if this is off topic, but I need advice on a topic and Yahoo Answers is not being very helpful.

For the past year my mum has been shouting and cursing at me when I don't do something right or she's just in a bad mood. When I was putting a T-Shirt in a charity bin, she shouted at me "Do you think ****ing I'm made of money!? You're so difficult!" and it felt like she was about to hit me. She recently has been doing this and making me feel terrible about myself, and whenever she does it I always end up in tears after she goes away. She is very intimidating and sometimes grabs onto me when she is shouting in my face. I've been trying to stand up to her but I never have the courage, and I haven't told anyone in real life, and mum isn't as bad to my sisters so they don't care.
What should I do?

@Platnium, sorry to hear that.. Dang...I remember when I even got my money ripped in front of me...Friends took it and rip it and I told them the same line You think money grows on trees?? They said nope but I know what hangs on trees...Black people like you...and they were black...Such fake people man...  

Wow, I'm sorry this happened to you! I can't really relate though... my school is pretty good with bullying and I'm mainly independent, so I can't give any advice other than to pull through. I would definitely try to talk to others about their interests though. Also, I've made most of my friends through sports, so maybe try playing?(If you like sports lol). If you have a nice personality people will generally like you if the people aren't bad. I know the most shy girl in my school (who is nice) has several friends. Just try to talking to someone who seems like he/she has the relative same interests and I'm sure you'll hit it off with them.

Just man up. If you get offended by name calling you deserve to be bullied and if someone hits you hit them back or go cry to a teacher.

well, personally i agree with this. I mean there are plenty of actions that can be done to stop it, ive been bullied in the past, whenever it occurred i toughed it and told teachers, parents etc and eventually they stopped and got into alot of trouble.

I haven't ever been through such abuse like this, but if you find it a big issue, then I'd suggest getting help. I'm not sure where you live but perhaps calling Child Protective Services or another service can get you through.

As for the bullying topic, I'd have to whole-heartedly disagree with era news. I have known him as a loser pretty much all this time on the forums, but never known him to be this heartless. Some people just don't understand the psychological issues that are results of this abuse.

However, if you've been bullied, I can understand how upsetting that might be, but you just have to brush it off, tell someone, and begin the next day as if nothing happened. I sadly haven't experienced these threats, considering the rich community I live in. Our educators listen and we've never had an incident (except the story of the guy who ODed on acid).

Bullying, as shown by statistics, is a huge issue and honestly should be taken seriously by adults. Why do you think there have been many suicide reports and anti-bullying conventions? Because it's a big issue that needs to be addressed. Not just something you can supposedly "brush off" as Era News puts it.

Thank you for your help everybody, @The Doctor, I called Kids Help Line and they told me to talk to Mum, which I'm going to do when she gets home from work and is in a good mood. @xSupah* :o

Some people have hit me/ touched my personal possessions and then I drop kick/punch/ beat the **** out if them and they're surprised when I wasn't just threatening. If I say don't ****ing touch me and my stuffed animals(example) or I'll (threat here), I will NOT hesitate to do it when you test me.


They can't seem to grasp that I told them the consequences and they do it again anyway.

I'm sorry to ask, but are your parents divorced? If yes, did they recently divorce? Has your mother been having a hard time in her workplace? Did someone close die recently? These are all factors that may result in this behaviour and I know from experience that sometimes (for longer periods of time) people take out their inner stress and feelings on other people and they don't mean it at that time, but when they recover from whatever is ailing they'll regret what they did.
I'm sure your mother is just having a hard time and is taking out her anger on you.
Was your mother always like this or do you remember her being a loving and caring person?
