Ok, honestly, just stop.

If you don't like the features, don't use them.

If you don't like the system, don't buy it.

I wish I had a 3DS so I could play some of the games, but honestly I hate 3D and would probably never use it. I would never use the camera either, but it might be a cool little extra for some games, I wouldn't know. Even if I didn't use the camera, it would still be worth it, even if the price hadn't fallen so dramatically, which it did.

So yeah, shut up.  

My original point before all this nonsense was that the camera's bring down an otherwise perfect design, and they(cameras) are unnecessary for any 3D gameplay in games anyone actually plays like Mario or Zelda.

btw which you Nintendo loyals have been paying Nintendo for a new system couple years to play the same exact titles.

And I'm saying the picture crap is useless because it seems no one even uses it. And anyways I dont know about you but if I want to show a friend a picture or whatever I don't pull out 3DS, and I'm sure no one else really does either.

No one likes taking pictures? Last week I visited my younger cousins and the three of them could spend hours just taking pictures of each other and playing around with it on their 3DS. Maybe it's something you don't like but how does it effect you if it's just there. Don't use it and shut up.

Rexx has a point. why put 2 cameras on the thing? I wouldn't even use one! Seems like wasted money to me. Perhaps in Japan this kind of thing would be far more popular. I don't see people on the daily snapping pics with their 3DS. As far as the 3D screen capabilities, yeah it might be a gimmick. It has no actual gameplay opportunities. Its built into a slider. The Dual screen thing was viewed as a gimmick when it came out, but it had possibilities. And Nintendo proved that. This 3D screen unfortunately doesn't.

Im not a fan of it, but have you seen where they are placed? Why put two cameras on the iphone? Hm?

well they put 2 cameras on the iphone for 2 different features. One is for hi-def photos, and the other is for face-time style video chat.completely different thing.

I think what I was trying to say was it is a waste of money to put two cameras on the back of the DS when i will never use one... ever. Put that money to better use. or better yet, just chop it off the total cost. There's a reason they brought the price of the console down to $160 less than a year after its release, and it has to do with production costs.

It had nothing to do with production cost. It had to do with customer demand.

People wanted a lower price, Nintendo obliged. If it had to do with production costs, wouldn't that mean something would be removed from the system to make it cheaper? Hmm.....nope. Nothing was removed.
