I'm always confused by the overweight thing. Maybe it's the region I'm in, but people aren't nearly as overweight as portrayed in foreign media. The only people I know that eat McDonald's more than once a month, if at all, are black.

Obesity affects some groups more than others. Non-Hispanic blacks have the highest age-adjusted rates of obesity (48.1%) followed by Hispanics (42.5%), non-Hispanic whites (34.5%), and non-Hispanic Asians (11.7%).

 

I'm glad I live in Texas and don't have to live with this crap, we could use some rain though , :p dry af here

From what I've read, around a third of our country is obese.

I guess I live in one of those two-thirds areas.

I live live in New England. Everything is fast-paced and busy here. Sure, there are obese folks around here, but nobody likes them anyway.

That's because you're from a normal state and not Texas.

I have a hard time viewing a lot of the States that people use as examples against the US as the true American way of life, being in one of the original 13 States and in the North. Especially since those States are still bitter over the Civil War, racist, and religious.
