Example, if they used thallens #’s I would get 4 hats automatically. Is that fair to the newer players? especially since I haven’t logged in to classic in a long time.

OT: I'm not against rewards but the manner in which rewards are handled should be though out. Personally I would prefer seasonal competitions in which you would have to buy a ticket to participate. 4 seasons, 4 categories, pk,spar,bk, and yes bug collection.

Seasonal competition would still be unfair on the newer players perhaps even more unfair.

a new player can join today and get 500+ pks. bk and bug collecting aint hard to learn. spar would be the only hard one for new players but graalians dont spar until they reach phase 4 of their evolution anyways so it doesnt matter.

I have 30 thousand total spar wins... I never got a hat from gst at all. It'd be kind of nice to get a reward for all my work, I bet other sparrers would agree, as well as pkers and bkers. You can't spar? You obviously could if you tried.

That leaderboard compliments this rewards system (at least for sparring), because it promotes activity more than just honoring who "the best" sparrer is.

So basically, for those of you who don't see yourself as great sparrers but still spar very actively and try your best, you'll actually be able to compete for leaderboard positions and get rewarded for sparring more.

I still don't think its good to give out rewards for spar wins or pks. In both areas players can take advantage of boosting and would at least be able to unfairly be able to get the rewards. But when it comes to stuff like bk's and bug collecting they can't be abused by "boosters" so I would be more willing to except a rewards system for those.

It seems like this thread has become more about getting even more rewards for sparring and not really about rewards for doing other things at all. Like I said before it would need to be even all the way across the board and IMO it would be to difficult to accomplish that.

If someone is caught boosting, they'll most likely be punished. I don't think you pay attention to the PK leaderboards but there was this one girl ALWAYS having 1000~ kills everyday, and this was several hours after the leaderboards resets for the day.

Oh yes. Because tower guilds NEVER cheat or lag block for hours, that's unheard of!

Also, boosting in spar is fairly easily caught, just saying.

boosting was only a problem in your "glory day" of 2010 when you could pause-boost yourself at Sardon's and Angel Clan spars and spar/PK in guild houses for stats

you're so thirsty to point blame at people that boosting has been diluted to a term that you use when people pick and choose their spars
that isn't boosting, that's just being a *****

PKing in a mob isn't boosting either
neither is throwing bushes at people
or arrowing the hell out of people
maybe you don't personally support it, but it isn't boosting

boosting hasn't been a problem since then so stop even bringing it up
if it ever did become a problem, it's very easily taken care of

there's 3 cases of boosting in spar that even comes to my mind in the past year:

Bundy forcing some noob to pause against him over and over in the PC room to try and break a streak record, which he was punished for
Carly boosting wins when no one was at the arena because of the Halloween event, which was insanely obvious and reported
Eko, Dae, and whoever else pathetically abusing the old points system to try and reach an unattainable number of spar points, which me and Sarah eventually beat without cheating anyway

all 3 instances are blatant and obvious, screaming "catch me"

if you really want to get into a conversation about boosting then make a new thread and talk about Shinta's race to 10k or SiBER requiring that all members of his guild give him 10 free wins per day

get off the subject because you're trying to scapegoat it to prevent a good thing from happening

Agree with thallen, Boosting has been around forever. Why mention it now?because people are trying to improve the game & they come up with ideas that you don't like?

it'll probably take them some time to get the hats done and stuff, though any details would be cool so that people know what's in store
if they're actually gonna follow through on this, maybe they should accept hat submissions like they did on Christmas, IDK
