Haven't updated this thread in a while, let alone do any kind of pixel art, but whatever haha. I did this for a special somebody :3 The backing was made by using the gradient tool, but it gave me the effect I was looking for and isn't an attempt to better myself so don't shoot me down!
Cool man, but maybe try to work with more contrast in the shading.
Like, if you pick yellow as ground color, try shading it with a nice orange (Have to find a good one).
Colors are one of the most important things there is, and im also having problems with that. Keep going bro

Except that when people tend to learn dithering they think it's an awesome new skill and they don't use it strategically like it should be used in this day. They put that **** everywhere and it makes potentially good pieces look horrible.
So agreeable. I was a Dir-Hard(Get it ) and all I did was dither everything and no one teaches why dithering is actually used. I soon figured out its used for texture but to this day I DONT know why its used.

That needs work. Needs AA, More contrast and maybe add luminosity in there.
