That's horrible. And his kid went to it? Because of course scarring your child by killing people isn't enough, it has to be people they know and play with too.

The gunner Ryan Lanza was in his twenties, he didn't have a kid there. His mom was a kindergarden teacher.

18 kids and 9 adults dead.

I am really getting disgusted by how many events like this have happened in the past year.

Oh, I must have read it wrong. It's still horrible either way though.  

I've been hearing about this all day... I just don't understand how someone could do such a horrible thing.  

I would like to think that we could get to the point where as with cars, gun ownership would have to come with a liability insurance policy. There are people too crazy or too violence-prone to be trusted with guns and we should take reasonable precautions to filter them out. But that doesn't mean eradicating the 2nd amendment altogether. It can work. Just look at Israel, they are very pro-guns and yet have very few shootings.  

I have a nasty feeling that this could've aroused from, "Oh, we are all gonna die on the 21st, so I should contribute!"

I highly doubt that is the motive, it is obviously something connected to the shooter's family. These mass shootings around America have occurred much too often in the last few years.

I don't, I'd want him to face trial.  

Why is mankind so corrupted? Why can't we just be as humble as other species, like a Platypus? We start wars and shoot people, but for what?
