Yeah, but if you weren't hat hunters you wouldn't have cared when the 1k hats were discontinued  

Interesting read. Changes coming to a server near you. I used to say the guild system was getting revamped just for the LoL's, but sounds like they might do something. The suspense is almost scratching my curiosity.

Yes, this would be leading onto a more expansive reward system for guilds and hats will still be involved. I didn't mention that originally because I wanted to see the reaction. It is also good to set your expectations low!

Something that sort of relates to this topic that annoys me is that Xor seems to be playing favorites with some of the guilds that win a Gst hat. The guild Crz which placed second in idevice was able to edit their hat and have it reuploaded. So I tried to do the same and Xor said the only changes that can be made is to add the letters "Gst" on the hat. That makes absolutely no sense since Crz hat was basically redesigned. I'm just trying to get the same benefit for my guild, I wanted to have the wings redesigned slightly.

Xor doesn't like us.

This was mentioned on a thread which we kind of lead off topic, but I thought some of you might want to get involved too, so it deserved its own thread.

When a guild wins GST / places second, they should be able to upload their own hat, much like towering at 1ks and so on.

If a guild really feels they can win, they'll have a hat on standby, and if not and they pull through, they can rustle up a hat in a few days. Winners should get the option to have .gif animations, as there will only be a maximum of 14 hats given out that could be animated.

This would eliminate all the hate that has been directed at boring and plain GST hats over the past year from the community ~ no offence to GFX staff.

Thoughts?

I think first place should be able to upload a hat with an animation. 2nd place should just get a GST hat

99% of this community are casuals or saltwheels that know for a fact that they'll never win a GST and they hate seeing other people get things that they can't so they'd love to see GST hats disappear, same argument for towering rewards, etc.

He's never going to win a GST or do anything in towering. Of course he doesn't want to see you get a reward for winning at something.

Logically, why would they do that? It would be harmful to the game. The owner of this game has an interest in making money. The staff probably have an interest in raising the playercount. It wouldn't make sense.
As someone who has won many GSTs and been rewarded for many tower guilds, I'm not concerned because I'm sure what is replacing it will be better than what we have right now.

I've accomplished more in towering than you ever will. You are pulling **** out of your ass trying to make me look bad, so where did I say I didn't want him to get a hat? And even if he didn't get a hat, there was still a different prize going to be rewarded, so it still doesn't matter.
