And here the list of police officer kills each year. The restriction of guns also leads to higher respect of those horrible things. Which makes their use less favorable. In addition a lot of people don't do **** with the more dangerous guns, so therefore shooting someone barely takes place

German Police says no one was injured despite news claiming up to 50 people were. Shame though. Really wanted to hear Thallen insult Germany and gun control some more.

There were rumors of 25 or 50 people hurt. But obviously those weren't true since he didn't even have a gun that could hurt people

(FOX NEWS) - A customer at a 7-Eleven store outside Seattle shot and killed a masked man who attacked a clerk with an ax early Sunday.

Investigators said the shooting happened at the store in White Center at approximately 5:45 a.m. local time. Witnesses said the man entered the store and swung a hatchet toward the customer before turning his attention to the clerk.

As the assailant attacked, the customer pulled out a pistol and fired, hitting the suspect. The clerk suffered minor injuries to his stomach and the suspect was pronounced dead at the scene. The customer who shot the suspect is described as a 60-year-old Seattle man who visits the store every morning to get coffee. His name was not immediately released.

I never said all guns are bad. I understand why a lot of citizens want hand guns for personal protection. What I don't understand is why they are so easy to obtain through auctions (I used to work at a firearms auction where they sold things from light-machine guns to anti-tank rifles) and every method of making guns harder for terrorists to achieve gets shot down. If you think that someone is too dangerous to ride on a plane, a place where you get x-rayed and patted down, and the chances of you bringing anything dangerous on is practically nothing, then you're too ****ing dangerous to own a firearm.

I think fully automatic weapons should be illegal. The only weapons I feel a citizen should own are pistols and hunting rifles. Any other weapon is designed for killing humans [in war]. I want to see background checks and waiting periods for every method of purchasing firearms.

As for any form of illegal firearm like ghost guns, I've never heard or seen any fully automatic weapon being used. There are smgs being sold yes, but they are extremely unreliable because the chances they aren't being handmade and imported from some foreign country is rare, and even if it wasn't, the weapon is extremely unreliable. There was that 4chan user who claimed he was at a school shooting (I forgot which) where the shooter shot at him, but since it was an smg he had very little control and only nicked a few people. It's possible a practical and illegal firearm exist, but I don't believe it's so common that it's something we need to worry about.

I'm not just fear mongering here. I have pretty close experience with firearms and those who use them.

I 100% agree. I understand why Republicans don't want to ban people on the no-fly list from getting a gun if the no-fly list system is severely flawed, putting people on the list for no reason, and making it nearly impossible to get off it. But I don't get why Congress can't make a ****ing bill to fix that flawed process and fix the background check system. No one should be able to purchase any firearm without getting a background check. Trade shows and all that need a lot more regulation.

I would agree with you, but there is literally no due process going on for people on the no-fly list. If people were actually being investigated in a court of law it'd be a different story. But presently the no-fly list is a horrible way to discriminate gun owners.

Trying to limit guns that have no reason to be in the hands of a citizen. It's a lot easier to do a mass shooting with them.

I'd guess the 2012 Aurora shooting would've had a lot less casualties if he didn't have a fully automatic weapon (if his weapon didn't jam), since I'd assume he was just spraying hoping he hit someone. Infact the casualties were only so small because his gun jammed on him.

Look, I don't actually take anything you're saying seriously. All I do is argue the opposite of what the majority of this site is arguing, regardless of my own beliefs.

I think that automatic and semi-automatic weapons are too dangerous to be used by the public and should only be handled by trained professionals. That's what I believe, but this thread isn't about that. It isn't about automatic and semi-automatic weapons at all. It is about allowing teachers the right to carry a gun while on school property for protection of themselves and students. That, I do support, and while I support it I still couldn't care any less if it were allowed or not.

You people have the most terrible knack for turning threads into biased rants. Almost none of you know how to have a decent discussion, turning everything into a personal attack and going on the defensive. Telling someone that they are wrong and giving facts that support how wrong they are does not carry on or help a discussion. You are allowed to disagree with people; however, you need to support your own arguments rather than just trying to shut someone else's down.
