I feel like that one South Park episode where Stan gets addicted to that Terrance and Phillip mobile game is the perfect example of how there are a lot of factors that lead into managing addictive substances.

For one, the children themselves are responsible for letting themselves fall far into the rabbit hole of addiction.

Another are the parents who either don't do anything about it or do(bad parenting exists but is not a factor in every case, same as these other factors).

Peer pressure has a big role considering a lot of my friends bet skins on CS:GO but thankfully I just try to focus on playing the game itself.

Hell even our brain itself loves the feeling of that rush of dopamine and will cause you to do more to get the same feeling.

And finally the corporations and companies behind these things that do almost anything to supplement these peoples' addictions in order to get them to spend more.

Its silly to just pin this on just one cause or just try and brush it off as "normal".  

Read my earlier posts. Almost everything is addictive. You just don't notice it because you never have to stop consuming it. Addiction isn't a valid reason to take something away. It can ruin your life when your ten. It can ruin your life when your 20. It doesn't matter. If you have responsible parents then hopefully they will do something about it. If not, then you have bigger problems to worry about than your CS gambling.  

But it is a valid reason to put something onto moderation.

Hell, half the times the parents don't even realize their children have blew half their paycheck on virtual skins until its too late.

Kids can lie too and the parent can be none the wiser about the whole situation.

As human beings we desire those "feel good" moments, hell we need them to survive. But if you aren't careful it can grow out of your control.

There are a lot better things you can do for your enjoyment than bet your money on pixels so why even have it available to you in the first place?

Why get drunk on alcohol and possibly hurt somebody when you can just enjoy a flavored non-alcoholic beverage and still have a good time?

Again, not asking for anything to be banned completely because history has proven that this only worsens the situation but moderate it so we can prevent bad things from happening.

If you want to gamble, wait till you're 18 and do it legally with your own money.

I agree, but the responsibility of that falls to the parent of the child. There are responsible minors out there who understand that things need to be taken into moderation, and just because we have ****ty parents who don't understand how to check their account charges we have to penalize those who are responsible?

As Colin said earlier, learn to manage your money. You should make it a habit to check your account once a day. If you see charges that you don't know where they are coming from then you need to do something about that.

There are many more addictive things to get into than gambling, and there are even more equally addictive things to get into that are completely legal. Consuming sugar releases dopamine, hence why it's addictive. Consuming sugar is not good for you. Consuming MSG does the same and is significantly worse than sugars.

But with gambling (assuming you're listening to what I'm saying and are being responsible and aren't enabling your kid to fuel an addiction which laws wouldn't do anything to stop since like Colin said earlier credit cards would be proof of legal age and since they are stealing them it wouldn't matter holy run-on-sentence) the only person you're potentially hurting is yourself.

It's funny how you said I just sided with Yogurt in this thread, yet I was the first one to post on this thread, and I said gambling is fun, then my next post said I don't get why you should have to be 18 to gamble. Again, there's that stupidity getting to you. You should see someome about that.
